The Aston Villa Foundation have highly qualified School Sport Educators that deliver a wide variety of physical education lessons to primary schools.
Our coaches plan and implement sessions which can be aligned to each school’s long-term sports plan.The Sport Educators can help with the assessment of pupils and provide an overview of each class at the end of every term.
All delivery staff have an enhanced DBS check and are qualified to Association for PE (AfPE) and Ofsted standards.
They undergo regular CPD and are quality assured throughout the year by our dedicated team at the Foundation.
We offer a full-day package which consists of a School Sport Educator delivering Physical Education provision for a whole school day.
And our half-day package consists of a School Sport Educator delivering Physical Education provision for 2-3 consecutive hours per day.
Our curriculum delivery supports and enriches a school’s own curriculum.
Our coaches plan and implement lessons that bring to life the PE Programme of Studies for Key Stages 1 and 2 from the National Curriculum. The lessons are designed to engage and inspire children in their skills development, as well as supporting their values-based learning that is embedded within the medium -erm plan. Our coaches can also support with a school’s long term plan for PE and guide the assessment of pupils, providing an overview of each class at the end of every term.
All delivery staff have an enhanced DBS check and are qualified to Association for PE (AfPE) standards or are working towards these qualifications (1st4Sport Level 3 PESS), as well as undergoing a regular CPD Programme. All deliverers are quality assured throughout the academic year by our dedicated team at the Foundation.
Physical Education is delivered as either PPA or PE CPD where the class teacher is supported via our Teacher Development Programme in the delivery of high-quality PE with their class.
PREMIER LEAGUE PRIMARY STARS
All of the programmes are in-line with the National Curriculum framework and are designed to engage and inspire the children across a wide range of subjects from Literacy and Numeracy to PSHE and Social Action. We adopt a kinaesthetic learning approach to bring the subjects to life with Aston Villa at the heart of it, all delivered via whole class or intervention based smaller group sessions. Our extra-curricular provision provides opportunities for children to participate in our development pathway in fun and engaging sessions. A range of sports are offered and delivered, with a primary focus of football and invasion-based games. There are also opportunities to support with attainment, attendance and being on time with Breakfast and Lunch Clubs on offer through our full or half day packages.
